King James Version

  1. 28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
  2. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
  3. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
  4. 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Douay-Rheims

  1. 28Knowest thou not, or hast thou not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, who hath created the ends of the earth: he shall not faint, nor labour, neither is there any searching out of his wisdom.
  2. 29It is he that giveth strength to the weary, and increaseth force and might to them that are not.
  3. 30Youths shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity.
  4. 31But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Most Catholic parishes in the US read the New American Bible. Read Isaiah 40 in the NABRE at usccb.org.
